Ranging from beautiful interior design options, through to hard wearing finishes, our extensive range of high quality special finishes will provide an impressive, finishing touch. These special finishes are offered in addition to our standard finishes and can be applied dependent upon the product, substrate and environment. When specifying your products online via our Selector Tool, for each item selected you will be offered the applicable range of finishing options to choose from. Antique Brass Medium (ABM)
A darkened, handmade living finish showing golden brass undertones when new. Antique Brass Medium ages gracefully over time to enhance its provincial, unrefined character. Striking when featured in authentic, classic designs and applied to Bella, Cilla or Giulietta door handles and brings a rustic touch to contemporary designs with Cubo, Quad or Kali door handles. |

A blackened, handmade living finish with a rawer appearance compared to Antique Brass Medium, featuring minimal brass highlights when new. Antique Brass Dark ages gracefully over time to give a raw, unpolished appearance. Black Chrome (BC)
An opulent, dark, mirror finish with a black lustre and highly reflective properties that give a sleek, signature statement when incorporated into contemporary designs. Applied to door handles with bold, flat surfaces like the round G2010 pull handle or our sliding door blade pulls, Black Chrome provides a stunning, stand-out effect. |

Satin Black Chrome (SBC)
A raw, black finish with an anodised metal texture and matt, satin appearance that enhances the grain of the substrate. Giving the effect of mild, black steel, Satin Black Chrome is a hard-wearing finish suited to almost any environment. Popular in contemporary, modern designs that expose natural textures of brick, concrete, metal, timber or stone. Also very effective on bold flat surfaces like Quad door handles, sliding door blade pulls or square G2510 pull handles.

Oil Rubbed Bronze (ORB)
A dark, handmade living finish offering a rich, old-world look with tones varying from deep, chocolate brown to dark grey which may change depending on differing climatic exposure. Polished Brass Unlacquered (PBU)
A timeless finish giving a rich, glossy, honey coloured appearance. The Polished Brass Unlacquered finish gives a gilded, statement look and is especially suited to traditional and heritage homes. Works particularly well with door handles such as oval Umbo and round Kimberley knobs, or Cilla and Bella levers. |

Satin Brass Unlacquered (SBU)
An elegant finish that displays a raw brass colour and brushed satin, monotone appearance. Our Satin Brass Unlacquered finish will give a subtle, background effect in modern, contemporary and minimalist design themes where rich colour is desired. Looks particularly striking on streamlined door handles like Ema, Gabriella or Milla. |

Weathered Brass Light (WBL)Elegant and handmade - a living finish that embraces the natural aging of brass. With its warm yet slightly darker appearance this finish carries itself with sumptuous maturity. Particularly striking when applied to Club, Lanex and Niki door handles, it’s also able to compliment contemporary interiors when paired with American White Oak on Monte Timber Collection door handles. |

Substantial in depth of colour and gleaming in finish, Polished Nickel works beautifully to bring a touch of warmth to cool environments and looks impressive on all our sliding door hardware such as blade pulls, flush pulls and edge pulls, as well as a wide range of door handles and matching accessories. |

A very popular European finish offering a rich effect with visible satin lines and warm hues that beautifully complement other architectural hardware finished in Satin Stainless Steel. Satin Nickel is especially suited to modern, contemporary environments with a sharp emphasis on the design aesthetic and looks stunning on our chic Duo, or the Bauhaus-inspired Lanex door handles. |

Satellite (Matt Chrome) (SAT)
A solid, matt chrome finish offering the look of natural, anodised aluminium with a similar effect to Satin Chrome but without visible satin lines. Satellite (Matt Chrome) gives a sleek and dense finish perfectly suited to modern, contemporary environments with a sharp emphasis on the design aesthetic, and works exceptionally well with our sliding door hardware for a seamless, yet substantial, finishing effect. |

Powder Coated Colour (PCC)
Hard-wearing and ideally suited to commercial and residential applications, Powder Coated Colour comprises a special finishing paint that is electrostatically applied for a durable, seamless finish. Two of our most popular options in this range are the Black ACE and Flat White coatings (shown). Choose from a virtually limitless palette, provided by quality paint brands Dulux, Interpon or Jotun. Powder Coated Colour (Black Ace)
A dark, smooth and textured matte black finish that gives an impressive design statement to any door. A durable and UV resistant finish, it is suitable for commercial and residential projects. Applied to popular styles such as Kali, Lanex, Lodden and Quad, it adds elements of style to your project. |

Vapour Black (VBK) A smooth, low sheen, non-reflective, hardwearing deep black finish. The finish provides salt spray performance and anti-weathering durability. Recommended for application in the coastal areas and applied to our limited lock products. |
PVD FinishesPVD finishes are highly resistant to corrosion and abrasion, making door hardware surfaces especially durable.Designer Doorware offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all PVD finished items against tarnishing, flaking, pitting and discolouration for the lifetime of the product. Currently, PVD finishes are available in three design collections – Quad, Lanex and Kali lever handles. |

Timber SpeciesSelect the right timber species for your project to achieve the best possible result. We have introduced American White Oak and American Black Walnut to increase the quality of our timber products, offering a timeless appeal and long-lasting result. These are available on the new Monte Timber Collection of levers and are now also available on all our existing timber entrance handles. |

Polished Chrome (PC) A cool, mirror finish that plays with the surrounding lighting to create an eye-caching effect that adds a highlight to any design application. Polished Chrome is a hard wearing finish that endures most climatic conditions well, and as a popular and versatile favourite, can be applied to wide range of architectural hardware to enhance any environment. Creates a complementary match to Polished Stainless Steel or contrasting effect to Satin Chrome. |
